The Tragedy of B. Simone

Allow God to exhalt you in his timing because when people put you on a pedestal they tire of you and knock you off of that pedestal. This is a paraphrased version of the messages I received from 2 different pastors in the same week and the first thing I thought about when I saw an article about B. Simone on my Google news feed.

If you don’t know the tea, B. Simone has been dragged for making a live video saying she prefers to date an entrepreneur over a full time employee. She stated that she wants someone that understands her lifestyle and can travel with her at a moments notice.

The trolls went crazy.

B. Simone has been royally dragged for her statement and accused of plagiarizing her manifestation journal. Personally, I think this is a damn shame and a true tragedy especially in the black community.

First and foremost, why are people so pressed about her wanting a man that has similar aspirations and struggles? Not one time did she diss full time employment. She made it clear early on in the video that it was nothing wrong and she once worked full time herself, so I can’t seem to understand everyone’s disdain with her comment.

Honestly, I feel bad for B. Simone in this moment. Not in a pity type of way but a y’all really don’t have to do her like that kinda way. I’m disappointed in the way humanity is so quick to turn on people they once held in such high regard simply because they have a differing opinion. It feels like people actually enjoy tearing down people trying to make a positive impact.

B. Simone is a young, black, entrepreneur who manifested her life and wants to help other women do the same. So what if she wants to date an entrepreneur and her journal was a little raggedy?! Her heart was in the right place and that’s what matters. Get y’all some business. I’m done.
