And honestly, I am not surprised. I'm actually more annoyed than anything.
We all know both relationships were doomed from inception, and like Cardi's soon-to-be ex husband Off Set already told us, "they'll do anything for clout."
I remember watching Ray J and Princess's wedding on VH1 somewhat shocked that they were actually going through with it. I mean all they did the whole time prior to getting engaged was beef with each other and other people leading up to that expensive ass wedding. But I pushed my confusion to the side and just blamed it on "Love."
Then Cardi B and Offset were already married when he did that fake ass proposal and Cardi almost shook her wig off in excitement while on stage. Don't get me wrong, no love story is cookie cutter, nor should it be, but come on, ya'll randomly got married in a bedroom after not even dating for that long, kept it a secret, then Cardi gets pregnant and hides most of the pregnancy. If these were 2 people who didn't live for social media I could understand, however, Cardi has gone as far as to make FB lives while having adult time with Offset, so they can miss me with the BS.
As a mediator, I see various forms of failed relationships, and it is my job to help parties work together as amicably as possible to get their divorce process and/ or develop a parenting arrangement that sufficiently suits them and their children moving forward. Although my pay would be AH-MAZING, I know both of these couples would royally wear me out if they were my clients. First off, they are already going back and forth about paperwork. Cardi files and then amends, while Princess files, drops the complaint for divorce, and then Ray J files 2 months later.
I truly feel for the small children that are involved. Divorce is never fun, but the blessing is that they are very young, so they may not even remember their parents ever being an item. That is if the parents finalize their divorces, make an amazing parenting plan, and be flexible and respectful moving forward. On the other hand, if these divorce filings are a way of shaking up the other party and bringing attention to the situation, which I believe it is, these are 2 disastrous divorces waiting to happen. Believe me, if they do not go forward with these divorces now, they are going to wish they had later. These couples are prime examples of falling in love/ lust about the wrong things.
How do I know they are the wrong things you ask?!
Well for one, Cardi B and Offset barely knew each other, Offset already had 3 children, and Cardi didn't even want us to know she was married or pregnant. HUGE RED FLAGS OF A DOOMED RELATIONSHIP!
And Ray J and Prinky were a hot mess their whole relationship. From that ghetto ass display on Love and Hip Hop Hollywood to Princess going live with her baby in her arms telling the world her husband stranded them in Vegas (I think that's where they were).
In conclusion, yall keep your favorite ghetto celebrities in your prayers because they have long roads ahead of them. Divorce and separation is never easy, especially not with immature parties. Let these superficial relationships be a lesson to you and yours. Everything that glitters ain't gold, take the time to get to know someone, and please understand that your WAP cannot keep a man that does not want to be kept.
