5 Signs it is Time to Separate

As a Family Mediator, I often see the results of the breakdown of relationships. Unfortunately by the time people get to me a separation is long overdue and much resentment and hostility is built up between the parties. Many clients often say the separation is long overdue and ever since they knew in their hearts the relationship was over, it just got progressively worse.
Here are a few signs I have found that indicate a separation may be the right choice.
It is ALWAYS something
If you and your mate are always at odds, it may be time to separate. Yes, couples fight and it can get ugly sometimes, but if the underlying issues of your spats never get addressed, the bigger issue may very well be that ya'll's season is over.
2. You cannot be your TRUE self with your mate
One of the worst feelings is to love someone and not being sure if they love you. You meaning who you are inside and out. Your flaws, scars, wounds, and passions. Truth is, everyone can't handle who you are, but the right one will love and respect everything about you.
3. You are NEVER TRULY happy
You are never truly happy is a sure sign that it is time to go. "Moments of Happiness" and being truly happy are two completely different things. If every time you have a great moment with your mate you cannot truly enjoy that moment because you know it will not last, it might be time to move on.
4. You are BORED
No one said that relationships are made of rainbows and butterflies, or chalked full of adventure, but if you are bored out of your mind 80% of the time in your relationship, it is probably time to seperate. We are all different. Some of us are introverted (guilty) and some people are extraverted, but if you and your mate cannot come together and have a good time (traveling, shopping, netflix and chilling, etc.) it's time to move on. Boredem breeds resentment and resentment breeds a whole brunch of stuff that doesn't equal a healthy relationship, so yeah, save yourself the drama and move on!
5. You just know that it's time
For the Ladies in the room: God blessed us with a little thing called "Women's Intuition." That nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach when you know something is not right, Yep, that's it! Don't try and talk yourself out of what you already know. Trust me, we have all been there and there is nothing to be ashamed of! Some relationships are for a reason and some are for a season, but all in all they are full of lessons. Save yourself the trouble sis, listen to your gut and free yourself up for the man God has for you.
For the Fellas: Stop thinking with your dick! Just because it's good doesn't mean she's good. Everything that glitters ain't gold. Just ask Bow Wow....
Until Next Time!
