I can bet my bottom dollar that your life doesn't look exactly like it did 2 weeks ago and every single day brings about some new restriction or celebrity diagnosis. I for one had no idea the Corona virus was that serious! I mean, I literally just saw a Hotels.com commercial where the guy in the uniform is "social distancing" and telling everyone to STAY HOME. Geez!
As a card-carrying member of the Introvert club, I can honestly say I've never been one to shy away from the home front, however, I can definitively say being strongly suggested and even forced after 6 pm here in Memphis, TN to be home has made me feel some type of way!
As positive as I consider myself to be, I cannot lie and say my anxiety has not been at an all time high and the fear of the unknown makes me uneasy. Thinking about all the people who have lost their jobs, yet must still provide for their families, the students exiled from the school year, medical and emergency professionals on constant alert and especially those who are fighting this life-threatening virus makes me kinda sad.
When I resume my positiveness, I refocus my energy on productivity. When my hands and/or mind is busy, I don't have much room for fear or sadness, only innovation. For one, I must say I am a damn good cook! This quarantine has forced me into the kitchen against my foodie ways, and I am pretty proud of myself! I mopped my apartment for the 1st time since I've lived here (don't judge me), and my home office is almost perfect! I am learning how to manage my time better and Princess and I have been going on walks almost daily. Zoom video conferencing has become one of my best friends and my life insurance business has skyrocketed! Oh, and I have massively decreased my social media intake.
Although we are all going through a trying time, WE WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS! God did not bring us this far to leave us and we will ultimately come out better in the end because of this worldwide challenge. Right now, more than ever, we must love each other and utilize this time for our benefit. Spend some time loving on each other (using social distancing of course) and be as productive as you possibly can. This too shall pass and once it does, you want to rise like the Phoenix from the ashes, not be the ashes.
Hug, Kisses, Love & Light,
Nasha
