30 Lessons I’ve Learned in 30 Years

1. Be Kind.

2. You gotta let grown folks be grown.

3. Forgiveness is for you, not them.

4. Being an Adult means being accountable for your actions.

5. Sometimes you have to love people from a distance.

6. Blood does not always mean family.

7. Stand for something or you will fall for ANYTHING.

8. The benefit of the doubt should be reserved for those that actually deserve it.

9. You don't owe anyone any explanation for being you.

10. Try hard not to judge people, you never know what they are going through.

11. A little love goes a long way.

12. Keep God first in EVERYTHING you do!

13. Don't force it if it don't fit, whatever it is!

14. Just let things happen, you cannot control everything.

15. Rejection is God's protection.

16. Anything worth having is worth working for.

17. You can catch way more bees with honey than vinegar.

18. It's ok to ask for help sometimes, we all need someone.

19. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

20. You don't have to buy something every time you go out, it's always gonna be something you want.

21. If you're wrong, apologize, it's the right thing to do.

22. Love God and yourself 1st, everything else will fall into place.

23. Do your best, don't worry about the rest!

24. Speaking of Rest.... Get some, regularly! No one is winning any awards for burning out!

25. Learn about yourself.... if you don't know you, how can you expect anyone else to?

26. Success is in the eye of the beholder. Live up to your idea of success, not someone else's.

27. You cannot make everyone happy and that's ok!

28. Work hard, Play Harder.

29. Snitches get Stitches! J/K, but mind your business for real though! If you're not going to help a situation, just stay out of it!

30. Tell people you love them (if you actually do). Life is short, you never know when it'll be your last chance to tell them.

Bonus Lesson: In the words of one of my fav girl groups Destiny's Child, "There are plenty of people who don't like me, there are plenty more who love me, and I LOVE MYSELF!"

Thanks for Reading!!!
